Cors Carron is also known as Tregaron Bog and it is believed to be Europe's oldest natural peat bog. It is now protected land and a nature reserve. Many people like to paint horses but I enjoy painting cows as they are such shy characters despite their enormous bulk. The herd captured within my acrylic painting were happily munching grass on the semi flooded land during one cold January afternoon. I liked the variety of colours that this scene offered.
