Buying Online
- 1. How safe is it to buy online?
- Buying through Platinumgallery.co.uk is extremely safe.Your payment details are taken via industry standard SSL secured shopping basket and stored on a secure server. There have be no security problems that we are aware of using this system. And because we use PayPal as our main payment processor, on secure encrypted pages, you are protected against online card fraud. Many of our customers already have PayPal accounts, but you do not need an account to use PayPal.
- 2. How do I buy an artwork online?

(a) Using PayPal
A simple method of payment which is extremely safe and secure. You can use credit and/or debit cards. If you use PayPal your item is covered by it's Payment Protection scheme up to the value of £500. Just add your items to the shopping basket at Platinumgallery.co.uk and follow the quick and easy instructions. -
(b) Cheques
If you prefer to pay via a cheque please contact us detailing what piece of art you are wishing to buy. We will then notify you to which address to send the cheque. Please make all cheques payable to Platinum Gallery. Please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear once received. Goods will be dispatched as soon as funds are cleared. (Please note that cheques are sent at your own risk.) -

- 3. How long do I have to wait before I receive my artwork after ordering?
- Please allow a delivery time of 14 days, although the artwork will usually get to you much sooner. If paying by cheque please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear once received.

- 4. How much am I paying for postage and packaging?
- Postage and packaging costs for artwork within the UK are clearly stated in the product description. For most pieces they are free. If you live outside the UK and want to buy an original artwork please contact us prior to ordering.

- 5. What are the delivery charges and times?
- Delivery charges (within the UK) are included in the price of the artwork. They are not added on afterwards. The price you see on the screen is the price you pay. Artworks are sent direct from the artists' studio or supplying gallery. Therefore packaging may vary from artwork to artwork. If you purchase artworks from more than one different gallery or more than one different artist, they may be delivered to you in different packaging and on different dates. Packaging is provided by the artist or gallery, and must meet our packaging standards which are very high. Deliveries are made by selected top courier firms or if appropriate, first class Royal Mail postage. Artists and galleries are contracted to deliver your artwork to you within 14 days. If for any reason there is likely to be a delay, you will be contacted by us or the artist or gallery.

- If you are interested in commissions by any of our registered artists please contact us with the details and the name of the artist(s) concerned. Platinumgallery.co.uk will then notify the artist by email with the details you have given and contact you to let you know how to pay. Please note that delivery times vary depending upon the artist, type and size of work being commissioned.

- 7. What about the measurements of artworks?
- Every artwork is displayed with a measurement in inches to show the exact size of the artwork. Please be aware that the small pictures ("thumbnails") of artworks shown in the gallery view and artist collections view, may not accurately represent the size of the artworks relative to one another. To ensure you understand the size of the artwork, please check the artwork details page, or contact us.

- Yes and there is no extra charge, this mainly applies to original art only but please contact us with any queries.

- Please create an account then if you call back to re-order, just enter your username and password and it will save you entering all your details again. We do not store your payment details for your own security.

- 11. What does 30 x 24 x 1.5 inch canvas mean?
- It means the canvas is 30 inches Wide x 24 inches high x 1.5 inches thick. We will always quote width first.

- 12. Do the artworks at Platinumgallery.co.uk come framed or mounted?
- Most of our original artworks look fantastic without a frame, and are therefore sold unframed unless otherwise stated. The majority of customers prefer to hang the artworks without a frame. Some customers prefer to frame the artworks themselves. If a particular artwork is framed, this will be stated on the artwork details page, and you will see the frame with the photo of the artwork.

- All copyright, design rights and intellectual property rights existing in our designs and products and in the images, text and design of this website are and will remain the property of Platinum Gallery. By sending us your digital images, you are automatically acknowledging that you are the copyright owner of these images, or have obtained permission from the copyright owner in written form, which permits us to print it in accordance with your order.

- Every individual PC monitor has different colour settings and the colour reporoduction could often be slightly different from the one of the actual artwork. However, Platinum Gallery will endeavour to display colours as accurate as possible on the site.

- 21. What about postage and packaging costs?
- As an established artist, you probably already know how much it costs to package and deliver your style of artwork. If in doubt, £30 is usually sufficient for smaller pieces. For larger or heavy pieces contact your preferred courier to establish the cost. Check delivery prices carefully as it is you who are wholly responsible for the cost of delivery. Remeber you are responsible for the costs of materials, packaging, and delivery to anywhere in the UK. Therefore you must set your price to include this cost.

- 22. How do I get paid when my artwork is sold?
- Customers pay online through our secure credit card processing facilities or by cheque. When payment is received, we will notify you of the details of the purchase by email, text message and if necessary by phone. You must then package and dispatch the artwork to arrive with the customer within 14 days. Once we have confirmed that the artwork arrived safely, you will be paid 14 days after that date. - As an accepted artist we market and sell you artwork via this site. We will display your work online and offline, remain highly competitive in all major search engines, and advertise the site via letterheads, leaflets, posters and flyers.

- Once you have been accepted as a new artist you can market any number of pieces online through our site. However, Platinum Gallery reserves the right to decide which artworks are of high enough quality to be marketed and sold through the site. This ensures that the buyers only receive the highest quality pieces of artwork and are completely satisfied with the Platinum Gallery experience.

- 25. Am I able to market my artwork elsewhere?
- You may simultaneously market your artwork through other channels as well as marketing through Platinumgallery.co.uk, providing this does not affect your ability to deliver the artwork to the customer within the specified time. You must inform Platinumgallery.co.uk immediately if your artwork is sold through another channel so that we may remove it from the site.

- 27. What commission do you take?
- Unlike other online art galleries Platinumgallery.co.uk will only make money if you successfully sell your art by taking a small commission of 15% on each sale. We do not ask for any payment whatsoever for putting your artwork on Platinumgallery.co.uk. This means there is absolutely no risk to you whatsoever; we carry all of the financial risk of actively running and updating the site, including spending large amounts on search engine marketing and offline advertising and administration.
